Mayor and Council
Representing the people of Headland, government leads the city into the future
Just as Headland is a progressive city, its mayor and city council are constantly working to measure progress with quality of life.
Mayor Ray Marler is in his first term as mayor after serving four years in the city council. Council Veterans John Glover, district one, and Benton Beasley, district four, are joined by new members Jody Singleton, district two; John Mellown, district three; and Kendrick Spurling, district five. Together they weigh the decisions that affect the business and social concerns of the city, and the lives of Headland’s residents.
The council meets on the first and third Tuesdays of each month at 6 p.m. in the council chambers of the city hall, 9 Park Street. The public is welcome and invited to attend and take an active part.
