Headland is known as "The Gem of the Wiregrass" for a good reason. We are a small town, but a rapidly growing town. We have families who have had roots for generations and many new families moving into Headland. The people of Headland have opened their arms to welcome all the newcomers and make them feel a part of our community.

We have many yearly events that we are very proud of such as our Daylily Festival, Harvest Day and our Christmas parade. Several of our local organizations participate to help make these events a success.

The City is also blessed with a large number of youth, who are the future of Headland. We are striving to provide recreation facilities for them with playgrounds, soccer fields, and a baseball complex. We want to help shape them in a positive way. They will eventually be the leaders of our town.

Headland offers a variety of restaurants and shops. We have almost anything a person could want. If you can't find what you need, it is only a short drive to Dothan.
