New Emergency Broadcast System for the Square in Downtown Headland
City of Headland and Headland Area Chamber of Commerce representatives met Friday, March 29, 2019
Combined efforts from the Headland Public Safety Department and the Headland Area Chamber of Commerce will be bringing an Emergency Broadcast System to Downtown Headland. Chief Mark Jones worked with the EMA and received a grant to cover the cost of the system. This system will enhance public safety on the Square, especially during Downtown events. Potential ways to utilize the system are to broadcast emergency alerts to event attendees, severe weather alerts, and assisting in communications with patrons on the square. The installation of the system is planned for Summer of 2019.
