Municipal Election Absentee Voting
This guide provides essential information for voters wishing to participate in absentee voting for the upcoming municipal election in Headland, Alabama. To participate in absentee voting for the upcoming municipal election, please ensure that your application is either mailed or personally submitted to the City Clerk at the Municipal Building, located at 25 Grove Street, Headland, Alabama.
Dates to remember are as follows:
Last day an Absentee Application can be received by mail is Tuesday, August 19th
Last day an Absentee Application can be received by the City Clerk in person is Thursday, August 21st
Last day an Absentee Ballot can be received in person by the City Clerk no later than 5pm on Monday, August 25th
Last day an Absentee Ballot can be received by mail is before noon on Tuesday, August 26th

You must meet one of the following criteria to absentee vote:
Expect to be out of the county or the state on election day.
Physically incapacitated and will not be able to vote in person on election day. [ID Required]

Expect to work a required workplace shift which has at least 10 hours which coincide with the polling hours at my regular polling place.
A student at an educational institution located outside the county of my permanent residence and am therefore unable to vote at my usual polling place on election day.
A member of, or a spouse or dependent of a member of, the Armed Forces of the United States or am otherwise entitled to vote absentee pursuant to the Uniformed and Overseas Citizens Absentee Voting Act, 52 U.S.C. § 20302. [ID Not Required]
